Account Deletions

Post by Nicole on Tue May 20, 2008 4:34 pm

I've enabled the option to allow users the ability to delete their own accounts if they no longer wish to participate in the forum.

Please note you can re-join at any time. But will be starting again from scratch, deleted accounts CANNOT be recovered!

Non-active accounts are culled on a regular basis.

Cheers

Hahah you guys are funny!

To answer Nati's questions, the gallery pictures stay, so if someone goes and wishes them removed, they'll have to request that from me.

Once they delete their account their posts are still their but their username is simply replaced by the word Guest.

This is why I never deleted Elena's (Cookie/Ozcookies) account, I simply deactivated her account which means all her details still remain, leaving her an honourary member! ;D

Just wanted to add to this if you've been an ongoing member of the forum and you don't wish to participate in the forum anymore, you may like to consider having me simply deactivate your account so that your name remains against all the contributions you've made.

Deleting your account results in all posts simply looking like they've been posted by a Guest. And deleted accounts are not recoverable.
