SEARCH function
THE OLD C&M IS NOW CLOSED. Please check out the new forum at http://www.cakesandmore.org :: Reference Section :: Information & How to Use Functions on the Forum
Page 1 of 1•
SEARCH function
Just a tip for Newbies and Oldies alike - there is a SEARCH function built into the site - if you are looking for answers to a query - try the SEARCH function first - It is found above next to the Gallery Search Button.
Just type in a KEYWORD .... such as Ganache, Mud Cake, Fondant, Lustre Dust etc. - doesn't pick up on spelling variations though - so if nothing comes up -try another way of spelling - (I'm trying to update that as well)
The Search function will list all posts regarding that topic. We are constantly adding words etc as the thread change direction (as they often do
)
This isn't meant to mean .... don't ask questions...... but more to let you know that there is already a LOT of information here for you to look through - and it does try to eliminate the forum getting bogged down with so many threads all asking similar questions.

Re: SEARCH function
There are no stupid questions here, but it can be annoying sometimes (well at least to me) when we've done a big thread on something and the same question comes up the next day. We are endeavouring to help make the search function easier to use.
We do not want to discourage people asking questions at all, we do however want to encourage you to look around and utilise the information that is here.
I've tried to make finding information on the forum as logical as possible but if people have suggestions on better places for information please suggest it! I am also working on a reference section to help guide people around the forum also. And to provide more group for specific items, tutorials and stickies we've started to accumulate.
Cheers guys.
