Privacy and Deleted Accounts

Post by Nicole on Sun Apr 13, 2008 10:25 pm

Due to the set up of this forum, your PM's are private, I and no one else can read them, I understand some forums can be set up that way, this one is not. If you are being bothered by rude or unsolicited PM's you can simple put that person on your foes list and you won't receive PM's from them again, of course I don't feel that's appropriate behaviour round here but imagine we are much more interested in caking than wasting our time doing that!

People who do not visit the forum regularly receive an inactivity notice and if they don't respond they are deleted, but they are free to rejoing at any point, this is done to keep the member list and database as up to date as possible with active members.

This does not mean that you have been kicked off the forum, this community is not trying to build a database of email accounts to use at a later date, so if you haven't visited for a while we take it that you aren't interested in being involved in the community. Your account is simply deleted and you may register again.

If you are a supplier, or run another forum or would like to retain your account but can't visit very often, then you need to contact the Administrator to find an alternate way to keep your account active.

If people are going away for long periods of time and want to preserve their account they can PM the Administrator and I can suspend their account till they get back so it doesn't get mixed up with the inactive accounts that get deleted!

If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask in a post, PM or email.
