Cachous..... is there a FAST way of attaching them?
has anyone got a suggestion on the fastest way to attache cashous to a cake?

How about putting a thin film of edible glue in a shallow bowl and putting the cachous in. Then pick up and stick it to the cake? That way you don't have to put glue on each one.
I love giving homemade gifts ..... so which of my children can I give to you?[i][url]

Sharon in her DVD pipes dots of RI & places cashous on top. Would be twice quicker if one had 4 hands in this method

Never complain about your fate, it might not be lucky with you either.

You can purchase a machine to do it ....... it is similar to a tiny vacuum cleaner - you suck up the cachous - it catches on the top of the tube - you place and then press button to release.
It is used a lot when people are glueing diamontes in place in scrapbooking or patchwork.
There are about $150
If it is on the base of a cake - you can sprinkle them on the board and then use a paintbrush to sort of 'push' them into place

heheheh - use the 'ol pea shoot and where it lands, it lands method !!! LOL...
I don't think there is an easy way - it is laborious and you just need to sit out and take the time to put them on One by one...

Someone I know owns a sugar veil sustem and she says it works beautifully for attaching dragees or little beads. However the price is beyond my budget.

Yes, Shirley.... uses the same principal as the one I mentioned earlier. Vacuum and release.

Ok i got them on with sugar glue and a lot of swearing! Fortunately they only wanted two layers and didn't want them too straight. I like the sound of that vacume system tho......

This worked for me, putting the b & g initials on a cake last weekend. Wet the end of your first finger and press onto the cachous, quickly lift to where you have put a dot of royal. Use a dry paintbrush to push into position, although they are a menace to move so try to be acurate first time. Try not to lean over a row already placed or you may knock them off. I still finished up vacuuming a lot up off the floor. Clean up any extra royal with a damp brush, but don't get it on the fondant. If are applying them to something you can hold in your hand, put the icing on, have a flat plate with the cachous and press into them (eg. a carriage to a little free standing goods train, represents items in the carriage and adds colour and shine). Perhaps a shortened straw cut lenthways and roll the ball down onto the side of the cake and RI? Good luck.
